Wax Products
INFITECH’s patented
technology (Canadian Patent CA 2314066) is a synthetic “hot wax”
mixture of paraffin wax and resins to clean oil spills in still
bodies of water and shorelines.
When spread onto
any oil spill (water or ground), the “hot wax” will
instantaneously solidify with the entire oil spill. A chemical
reaction occurs as the hydrocarbons molecules of the spill
automatically bond with hydrocarbon molecules of the wax. Since,
they are both hydrocarbon (oil), the resulting mixture is easily
collected in its solid state (i.e. floats on water) and taken for
disposal or incineration for fuel. The technology is designed so
any labourer can use it and unlike current mechanical methods,
easily scalable and very economical to use. INFITECH’s technology
significantly reduces costs for oil spill and dangerous materials
handlers and cleans to exceeding existing environmental
regulations.
The technology is
clearly either a replacement or complementary technology to the
existing method or procedures. By spraying on a coat of hot wax,
like you spray paint a car, respondents save money and precious
time.
How it works
1. The hot wax is poured
or sprayed onto the spilled oil.
2. The “hot wax” adheres
physically and chemically to the oil in a liquid state.
3. The “hot wax” and oil
solidify and can be collected for disposal or recycling.
